Thankful for Law Enforcement Campaign

I am a doer…it’s just who I am. When there is a need for something my mind races with ideas until my vision is complete. With tragedy after tragedy happening to those who serve and protect our neighborhoods, communities, and country, I knew I had to DO something on as large a scale as I possibly could to show the world what we are really made of. That we will not just sit back and let the very men and women who put their lives on the line day in and day out to protect us go another day without truly understanding that GOOD ALWAYS PREVAILS and that the opinions of a few will never overshadow the thankfulness of the vast majority of American citizens.

For starters what if we as adults stopped to say thank you when we saw a police officer or any law enforcement officer on duty to let them know they have our support? Smile and say thank you as they stop traffic so you can safely cross the street rather than rushing about like we often do. This would be a start but it is NOT ENOUGH. Our children are growing up in a world where terrifying things are happening on a daily basis around the world and across the United States. How can we expect the future to get any better if we don’t start NOW and teach our children manners and respect? I am challenging every parent who reads this to have your child thank a law enforcement officer. Have your children make a card and send it to your local police department or a friend or family member in law enforcement. Print out these FREE Law Enforcement Thank You Postcards and have your little ones color them and sign them as a gesture of thanks. Keep them in your car or your bag and pass them out each and every time you encounter someone who is working to protect you and your family. My own children might be too young to fully understand the devastation that our law enforcement community has had to endure in recent times, but they surely can participate and understand that when someone does something nice for you and others it is important to say THANK YOU. When the chips are down and the world seems to be against someone you care about…reach out and let them know you care and appreciate them.

Kindly share this post and let us spread some kindness and appreciation for the men and women who would give their own life for yours in a heartbeat and who truly keep America the Land of the Free Because of the Brave. My hope is that we can spread this across the country and let our state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies know how much they are appreciated and that they have the support of more people than they could ever have imagined.
